ORS (Online Reporting System)

At first the ORS was going to simply be an issue/bug tracking system; much like the many others that exist today. But it was found earlier this year that the ORS could be so much more.  Rather than limiting this system for only issue reporting, we expanded its capabilities and developed a tool that acts as a “knowledge base” for Blu-ray production. Something that would benefit the Blu-ray Industry as a whole.

The ORS is a web based tool that can be used by Testing, Authoring and Production Facilities, Studios, Player Manufacturers, etc. The issues entered will be stored in one centralized database for all the Industry to use as needed. Information entered can then generate reports based on:

.....* Player Perfomance
.....* Advanced BD-J Features performance
.....* Known player bugs
.....* more...

This information will be of extreme value to:

.....* Authoring Companies: How did this functionality perform previously? Issues?
.....* Marketing Dept: Has this type of feature had issues on one or more players?
.....* Creative Groups: Getting started & need resources in issue avoidance, etc.
.....* Player Manufacturers: How are titles in production working on our players?
