BluFocus Inc. is the entertainment industry's first advanced testing and advisory service specialist for Blu-ray. The company offers products and services to content owners, player manufacturers, content developers and tool developers to ensure a seamless, issue-free customer experience that makes full use of Blu-ray Disc's expanded capabilities.

Founded in 2007, but composed of a team with over 10 years of Blu-ray, DVD, UMD, Gaming and Software Development and Testing experience, BluFocus helped redefine the way Blu-ray testing was conducted, which at first adopted conventional DVD processes, and lead the introduction and implementation of software testing methodologies.  BluFocus  recognized that in order to ensure the quality of Blu-ray products released into the market, it was necessary that products were operating as intended, per the Blu-ray specification and that advanced levels of testing were conducted  in all areas.

 

BluFocus continues to expand its comprehensive list of service offerings to the Home Entertainment Industry. Recently, BluFocus became an official Testing Center for the Blu-ray Disc Association in the areas of Movie Player Verification (first and currently only in the United States), BD-ROM Audio Visual Content and is in the process of finalizing its approval for BD-ROM PC Application Software.  BluFocus is also the premiere facility for all THX Certification for DVD and Blu-ray titles. 

 

BluFocus’ goal is to ensure the overall quality of all home media products by working directly with groups involved in their production, by providing unparalleled Testing, Project Engineering and Consulting/Advisement services.
